Hey everybody! It's a rare public post!

Now that we've announced this summer's Okkervil River / Antlers duo tour (which you guys heard about first), I thought this would be a good time to re-post the awesome conversation Peter Silberman and I had for "Uncontrollable Light," my patreon podcast series where I talk to fellow artists about all manner of interesting topics. In this episode, Peter and I talk about the mysterious magical properties of art and finding our way through expressing light and darkness in our work, and we also unpack the interesting rhyming similarities between our careers and particularly between the Antlers' album Hospice and Okkervil River's album Black Sheep Boy. Subscribers may have already heard this episode before (it's the same as the first time I posted it, except I beeped out some sensitive information Peter and I only wanted to exist in the private patreon version), so I apologize to anybody who feels they're not getting truly new content this week, but I'll make it up to you and then some with a rather exhaustive episode next week that goes deep into the making of Sleep and Wake-Up Songs and the exhausting 2004 touring experience that led up to Black Sheep Boy. These "making of" episodes are both very fun and incredibly labor-intensive, and this one came out really great.
