Bruno Latour is a professor at Sciences Po Paris and director of its media lab, which is a collaborative digital platform to promote research among social scientists, engineers, and designers. From 2007 to 2012, he served as vice-president of research at Sciences Po. His most recent book is "An Inquiry into the Modes of Existence," with a complementary interactive web presence at http://www.modesofexistence.org/ of which this series of talks will become a part.

The Tanner Lectures on Human Values were established by the American scholar,

industrialist, and philanthropist Obert Clark Tanner, who hoped that these lectures

would contribute to the intellectual and moral life of humankind.
